Freida A. Marsh

Freida A. Marsh of Richland, Washington, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 3, 2009. Freida was born in Pangburn, Arkansas on June 10, 1919, to Esther and OB Henderson.

Freida married Walter "Shorty" Marsh in April of 1938. She and Shorty enjoyed 66 years of marriage before his passing. Freida and Shorty moved to Richland in 1955 with their two sons, Walt and Jerry, from Christiansburg, Virginia.

Freida loved her family and being a homemaker. She was also a very accomplished seamstress, sewing professionally for many people. Up until recent years, she was very active at Richland Baptist Church where she served in the areas of Sunday school secretary, a deacon's wife, an adult choir member and eventually, in the senior adult choir. Four years ago she moved to Alterra Wynwood. While living there she was faithful to Thursday morning Bible study and her Sunday school class.

Freida is survived by son Walt Marsh, son Jerry and his wife Barbara, 7 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be on Saturday, March 7, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at the Richland Baptist Church, 1632 George Washington Way, Richland, WA. Visitation shall be at Einan's Funeral Home in Richland, March 6, 2009 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Freida's name to the Richland Baptist Church Building Fund.
