Gladys May McLerran

Gladys May McLerran born to Harsley and Thelma Homer on January 1, 1928 in Bates, South Dakota passed from this life on April 6, 2009 after a short battle with colon cancer.

She will be missed by her husband of 60 years Thomas McLerran, daughters Patti McLerran, Candy Eatmon and husband Roger, sons Dennis McLerran, James McLerran and wife Martina, 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and many wonderful friends.

Gladys was a resident of Richland for 18 years before moving to Benton City with her husband where they resided for the last 35 years. She was involved with her church, the food bank or anywhere that she could help volunteer. She indeed had a servant's heart.

There will be a celebration of her life May 16 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Benton City with a potluck to follow. We would like to say a special thank you to all those who work 'at the Chaplaincy, without you Angels, this transition would have been unbearable

In lieu of flowers donations may be in Gladys' name to the Chaplaincy or the charity of your choice.

  • Patti, Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the passing of your Mother. No one can replace her but we all remember the love and prayers our mothers gave us. Where are you living now? You still come to mind with fond memories. Take Care, Steve Panther.
