MaryAnna Ware Abadie

MaryAnna Ware Abadie, 82, a two year resident of Kennewick, WA, passed away October 5, 2009, at Kadlec. She was born March 4, 1927, in New Orleans, LA. MaryAnna attended Newman High School, Newcomb College and Tulane University.

She was a founding coach of the Columbus Swim Association and taught hundreds of kids how to swim on the State Championship swim team in Mississippi. MaryAnna was part of the Women's Junior Auxiliary that helped in schools with reading stories and performing puppeteering. She had a life-long love for tennis, swimming and bridge.

MaryAnna is survived by her daughters, Dianna and Elizabeth Abadie Green; sons, Lon and Kit; granddaughters, Jena Tarleton Blake and Rachel; grandsons, David and Neil; great-granddaughter Bailey Blake; and her sweet cat Louie Louie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Marion Ware and her siblings, Jimmy and JaneKit Ware.

A memorial service will be held in Columbus, MS, in the spring.
