Born In Walla Walla, WA on June 23, 1918 Departed on July 28, 2010 while residing in Spokane, WA
Roberta Green passed away at age 92 in Spokane, Washington as a resident of the Health Center at Rockwood Retirement Communities Hawthorne with family members present. Rockwood had been her home for five years as she moved from assisted living to the health center.
Roberta was born in Walla Walla, Washington, where she received her education through business college courses and married the love of her life, Everett Green in 1938. She was a homemaker for most of her life and an office assistant for her husbands business for several years. She was a wonderful companion and friend to her family and friends and looked forward to following the Bombers, traveling and her next golf game. She loved a good story and will always be remembered for her great sense of humor, laughter and wonderful smile.
Roberta and Everett and their two daughters moved to Richland, WA in the mid-1940s where they made their home together until Everetts death in 1993 followed shortly thereafter with Roberta moving to Spokane.
Roberta is survived by her daughter, Joan Harvey of Vancouver, WA and daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Bill Johnson of Spokane, WA; five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held for her at Hawthorne with a private, graveside service at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Richland, WA at a later date.
Her family would especially like to thank all of the wonderful caregivers and staff who loved and gave such exceptional care to Roberta for the past five years. Donations may be made to the Rockwood at Hawthorne Foundation, 2903 E. 25th Ave., Spokane, WA 99223.
Every time I go out into my back yard, I miss Roberta. She was such a lovely, gentle soul. I miss the walks we took and the trips to Spudnuts. May she now be reunited with Everett forever. Vicki Gerton
