William Patrick Hansford, SR

William Bill P. Hansford SR., passed away surrounded by love ones, peacefully Saturday July 31. He was born March 24, 1941.

He was survived by his loving wife, Shelia Tomlinson, step-children Kenzie, Taylor, Bryce and Katie. His two brothers Richard and Dennis Hansford, 3 sons Bill, Danny, and Mark and their spouses, 7 grandchildren Scotty, Sean, Billy, Cristina, Jake, Josh, and Hailey and several great grand children. He was preceded in death by his mother and father.

He was a retired L&I inspector and pipefitter. He enjoyed the outdoors, avid fisherman and hunter. He cherished his family and friends. He will be missed greatly.

A gathering to celebrate his life will be held on August 13, at The American Legion in Benton City from 5 pm to 9 pm.

  • I worked with Bill at L&I and always enjoyed listening to his stories while I was out back on break. To this day, I often repeat one he told me because I thought it was so funny.

  • I worked with Bill at L&I for 10 years. He was fantastic guy, always friendly, cheerful and fun to be around. You could tell he enjoyed life and was always nice to everyone. All his co-workers liked him and respected him very much. I am sure he will be missed by many. He is by me.
