Ardie Dora Hoglen

Ardie D. Hoglen, 84 died peacefully on February 22, 2011 in Kennewick WA.

She was born in Beloit, Kansas on March 2, 1926. She was raised in West Plains, Missouri.

She married Dale Hoglen in 1943 and moved to Richland, Washington in 1944 for Dale to work in the Hanford area as a bus driver.

Ardie was a homemaker until attending college in Cheney, Washington to become a school teacher. She graduated college the same year as her son graduated from Columbia High School in Richland in 1962. Ardie then went on to receive her masters and doctorate in Education.

Ardie taught 4th grade at Jason Lee elementary until she retired.

She enjoyed going on trips with her sisters-in-law, golfing, working in the yard and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.

Ardie was very active in the Church of Christ in Richland and had many close friends who attended with her.

Survivors include a sister, Eloise Lee of Richland, a brother, Ralph James Virginia of Richland, 2 son’s Ron Pam of Kennewick, Arlis Renee of West Richland, a daughter Rebecca Faubion Ben of Ellensburg WA., and 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

    You embraced me into your family with open arms and unconditional love. I will forever be greatful for our special talks and your words of wisdom. You are a very special lady and I am so lucky to have been a part of your life. I know you will be watching over all your loved ones from heaven above. I love you!! Forever in my heart.

    I Miss you so much. I remeber loving to stay the night with you , and Meagan. Going to get blizzards from Dairy Queen. Playing cards with us our favorite Rummie, ands just spending afternoons with you on your patio.
