Kathleen Elaine Carpenter-Dyer

Kathleen Elaine Carpenter-Dyer of Benton City, WA passed away at Kadlec Regional Medical Center on April 5, 2011. She was born in Spencer, NE in 1934. Kathleen moved too Marysville, KS as an infant where she lived and graduated high school in 1952. She married Sgt. Donald Dyer of the USAF in 1956 and had 2 children; Jane Marie and David Andrew.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Dyer; mother, Alma Carpenter' sister, Arlene Brandt; brother, Ted Carpenter and great nephew Joel Diaz. Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Jane; son, David; brothers, Galen Carpenter and Wayne Carpenter. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews including Julie, Peter, Eric, Evan, Anne Diaz; Adam and Christine Diaz; Jane and Andrew Cassinelli, who all live in the Tri-Cities.

Kathleen enjoyed traveling, she spent time living in Montana, California, Hawaii, Utah, Texas, New Jersey and Washington State where she lived since 1977. She enjoyed beach combing in Hawaii, reading, crossword puzzles, playing scrabble with her mother and niece Julie. Kathleen also enjoyed watching all the old game shows on TV and the food channel. She really enjoyed playing Bingo and pinochle.

She will be missed by all.

Kathleen's favorite charities were the 2nd Harvest of the Tri-Cities and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
