Bernice E Denoff

Bernice E. Denoff passed away peacefully on March 21, 2012 in Richland WA. She was born in Chicago, IL on October 1, 1918 to Lars and Altoona Langlo, the second oldest of eleven children. She lived in Chicago until her marriage at the age of 24. She lived in Kennewick WA for the last 44 years.

When she was 18 years old she met her future husband, Rube, when she started working at his grocery store. They married 6 years later after he received an officer's commission and his pilot's wings in the Navy. After WWII, they lived in many different parts of the country as he was transferred to different bases. She enjoyed 20 years as an officer's wife. When he retired from the Navy, they settled in Southern California for 10 years. He was then transferred to Richland WA. It was here that they discovered the "boating life". They joined the Clover Island Yacht Club where they made many friends and had many great boating experiences.

After Rube retired from WPPS in 1988, they traveled around the country visiting friends and family. After Rube died in 1988, Mom settled in being the best grandma and great grandma. She was always ready to help. Her greatest joy and the highlight of her life was always her family and she loved them above all else. According to everyone she was also the BEST cook.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Reuben H. Denoff, her daughter Linda Denoff, and her brothers, Lenny, Bobby, Billy, Fred and Art.

She is survived by her son David Denoff, wife Carol, daughter Jo Ann Young, husband Rob, granddaughter Jennifer Ollero, husband Ryan, grandson Andy Young, wife Vanessa, great grandchildren Riley and Marley Ollero, Jocelyn, Kayleigh, Melody and Mia Young. She is also survived by her sisters Alice Donnely, Lillian Kerr and brothers, Lars Langlo, wife Marion, Kenneth Langlo, wife Pat and Arnold Langlo.
