Edna Grace Mikulecky

Edna Grace Chase Mikulecky of Richland, WA passed away on March 10, 2012. She was 100 years old. She married Lewis L. Mikulecky in 1930. She had three sons from that union. Edna, Lewis and the boys moved to Richland, WA in 1944 where Lewis worked at the Hanford complex.

Edna's first job was at the Richland Laundry. She then went to work for the Government Housing office. From there she worked for General Electric, Atlantic Richfield, Rockwell and Westinghouse as a secretary until she retired on April 30, 1971.

Edna enjoyed baking, reading, gardening, her three dachshunds and bowling. Edna and Lewis bowled together in a mixed doubles league. She was also the secretary of the Senior Citizens Bowling league for many years.

Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis, and by one grandchild, Chuck. She is survived by her sons Edwin Lee Laura, Sacramento, CA, Ronald Gene Liz, Pasco, WA, and Roger Lewis Sandy, Reno, NV; grandchildren David Cindy, Wendy Harvey, Keith Patricia, Vicki, Hahns and Terri; great-grandchildren Blake, Rachel, Bradley, Kelly, Megan, Huey and Jeremiah. She also has five great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff at Callaway Gardens for the loving care and assistance they provided to Edna.

At Edna's request, there will be no public service.
