Janet Louise Holman was born August 16th, 1940 in Elma, WA, to Edward and Margorie Furlong. She spent most of her younger years on the Olympic Peninsula where she raised a baby deer and was Valedictorian of her graduating class.

Janet met Richard Holman at social dance class their freshman year of college and were married the following June. Together they raised 3 sons.

In 1985, after a major head injury limiting her speaking , Janet turned to writing and she became a beautiful poet.

Despite her health problems during the last 25 years, Janet always had a smile on her face. The world lost a great wordsmith and her family lost a great wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her brother Val in Australia and her husband of nearly 53 years, Richard. Children Ed & Ginny, Allen and Charlie & Kelley, grandchildren, Mike, Karly, Brian and Tyler and great grandson Winston.

Funeral will be at Jadwin LDS Chapel, 1321 Jadwin, Richland at 11am on Thursday, March 22nd, with viewing starting at 10am. Graveside service to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
