J Delbert Bell

J Delbert Bell, our husband, father and friend passed away peacefully on Saturday November 3, 2012.

He was born September 20, 1936 in Albion, Idaho to Floyd and Leone Bell and was the oldest of their five children. He married Judy Oakes, in the Los Angeles Temple on December 27, 1958 and they enjoyed their time together for nearly 54 years. They raised four children who were proud and honored to have him as their father. His life of service and dedication to his family, to his faith and to all things he undertook are a lasting example and a legacy for all of those who knew him. His greatest goal in life was to provide for those he cared for and to ensure that they were able to accomplish the things life had in store for them.

An accountant by trade, he also enjoyed gardening, sports and most importantly his family. He and his wife, Judy, moved to Richland, Washington from Orem, Utah in 2002 to be closer to several of his grandchildren, all of whom he loved and who loved him in return. He was a good father, but an exceptional grandpa.

Delbert is survived by his wife Judy; his four children, David Bell, James Bell, John Bell, and Debra Bell; and his five grandchildren, Trevor Bell, Chelsea Bell, Quinn Bell, Lauren Bell, and Connor Bell. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Leone Bell and his brother, Wayne Dee Bell.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 9, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the LDS Keene Building Chapel in West Richland, Washington. The service will be preceded by an opportunity for friends and family to pay their respects at 11:00 a.m. and will be followed by a graveside ceremony at Sunset Memorial Gardens cemetery in Richland, Washington.
