Ronald Dean Blick
Ronald Dan Blick, 63, passed away on November 9, 2012 with his family by his side at his home at Royal Columbian Retirement Inn in Kennewick. Ron was born in Richland on August 16, 1949 and graduated from Columbia Richland High School in June 1970. He was a life-long resident of the Tri-Cities. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mary Lou Blick and is survived by his sister and brother in law, Diana and Harold Amos, of Kennewick; his brother and sister-in-law Michael and Rebecca Blick of Battle Ground, WA; and nephews, Brian Amos of Milwaukie, OR, Edward Michelle Blick of Vancouver, WA and Andrew Anna Blick of Bellingham, WA. He will be laid to rest next to his parents at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Private family services will be held.
Ron was a very dear man. I have worked for BFT for the past 17 years and have known Ron thru riding our buses , riding Dial A Ride and attending Basketball and Baseball funtions for the Bombers. Boy Ron loved the Bombers, and often would go to Zips for lunch. He would bring a smile to every room he entered. His smile was contagious and had a great sense of humor. Ron truly will be missed! I didn’t know Ron; but, I remember him. I am a retired police officer from the Richland Police Department 1973-1989. While on the department and during retirement, I would go to the drive-up window at Zip’s Drive-In for lunch. I would see Ron either sitting inside or leaving the building with a cup of coffee in hand. Always with a cup of coffee. Yet another “fixture” of Richland gone. My condolences to the Family!
