James Karl Meredith, 80 of Benton City, passed away on February 28, 2013 at Life Care Center of Kennewick. He was born on September 1, 1932 in Iberia, MO. After moving to Washington State and living in a number of towns in the Yakima Valley and the Tri-Cities, James moved to Benton City in 1962 and became a resident for 50 years. Dad worked as a Millwright in the construction industry for many years until he retired.

James Karl was preceded in death by his parents Herb Meredith, Eunice Fisher, sister Mary Stevens, and son James Lee.

James is survived by his two sisters, Martha Miller and Dee Burnett; his two children, Raymond and Terry; eight grandchildren, Hope, Autum, Dakota, Bryan, Michelle, Christopher, Amanda and Lucas. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, Saria Marie, Harper, Eamon, Kourtlyn, Trenton, Tanner, Kennedy, Mercedes, and many nieces and nephews.

Dad took pride in his work, he worked hard and did the best he could, and he did passed this trait onto his children.

Visitation was held on Friday, March 8, 2013 from 5:00-7:00pm at Memories at Sunset Event Center in Richland.
