John Wallace Sims
John Sims, beloved father, husband, son and friend was born to Ray and Ollie Sims in Caldwell, Idaho on March 1, 1927. He lived for over seventy years in Bonners Ferry, Idaho before moving to the Tri-Cities area in 2004. He was a resident at Richland Lifecare at the time of his death, February 18, 2013.
John was a proud WWII veteran and a retired owner of a John Deere Implement business in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and enjoy the beautiful mountains where he lived.
John is survived by his daughters, Kathy Sims Barr and her husband Rob, Linda Sims Engert and her husband Paul, grandson Ben Barr, sister Helen Drake and her sons John and Bob Drake. He had several great nieces and nephews and also a wonderful Canadian family.
John was an unsung American hero who touched and enriched the lives of all he knew. A Christian man, we rejoice that he is reunited with his Savior and all the dear family members who passed before him. We cherish the memories of this loving, gentle-man who committed his life to God, his family and country.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Richland Lutheran Church.

Linda & Paul,
So sorry to hear of the loss of “Big Daddy.” I know he was your gentle giant and an inspiration to the entire family. We all know he is in a wonderful place, but he will certainly be missed.
