Sandra Kay Hampton
Sandy Hampton passed away March 9, 2013 with her family and friends by her side in Richland, WA. She was born November 20, 1950 in Poquoson, VA to William John Schumann and Patsy Emma Evans.
Sandy and her husband Cliff Hampton met New Year's Eve 1980.They were married 3 months later, and enjoyed 33 years of marriage together as of March 7th. During their marriage Sandy was a devoted homemaker. She and her husband were stationed in several places throughout the West Coast and Hawaii, before moving to the Tri-Cities in 1997. She had several friends locally, and throughout the country, who she remained in close contact with.
She was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 7952, and often participated in events such as the Trick – Or –Treating at the Uptown Shopping Center, where she enjoyed giving candy to the children as well as showing off her grandchildren. She also attended Richland Baptist Church and participated in their fellowship events. Her other interests included spending time with family and friends, visits to the casinos, and crafts including making porcelain dolls.
Sandy is survived by her husband, Cliff Hampton, daughters Dianne Mason of VA, Becky Kirk, and their spouses, and 4 grandchildren, Cheyenne and Channing Mason, and Jackson and Scarlett Kirk; her sister Margaret Jenkins and nephews and great-nephews and nieces also of VA. She will be greatly missed by her family and family of friends.
Viewing will be held Thursday, March 14th at Einan's Funeral Home in Richland at 11:00 AM followed by a graveside service at 2 PM at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Sandy made us so welcome when we moved to West Richland. We always knew we could rely on her when we needed help. JoAnna, who was in kindergarten thought she was the best ever. We will miss her so much. She was a gentle soul. We are so sorry for your loss and all of you are in our prayers.
