Harvey W. Weible

Harvey W. Weible, 85, was born on June 9, 1927 at Farmington, Washington to Alfred and Emma Gosner Weible and passed away at Callaway Gardens in Kennewick on May 21, 2013 after an extended struggle with Alzheimer's disease. He was the youngest of three children. Harvey attended and graduated from Garfield High School in Garfield, Washington. After graduation, he immediately joined the US Navy during WWII at the age of 17. When he was discharged he moved back to Garfield met and married M. LaVonne Mitchell in 1946. They had three children, Gary, Ron and Pennie.

Harvey worked for the Standard Oil Company as station manager in Spokane, and Ritzville. After his divorce from LaVonne, he farmed for a time in Othello and mat and married Virginia Lewis of Spokane. Together they operated Appleway Florists in Spokane for many years. Virginia passed away in 1998. Harvey retired to Kennewick and married Gloria Bouchey of Kennewick on February 26, 2005. Together, they had a wonderful albeit brief marriage. Alzheimer's disease regrettably shortened their time together.

Harvey enjoyed working with his hands, he could and did build a house and several garages and remolded interiors of many homes and the flower shop and did it with perfection. He enjoyed snowmobiling, especially at Yellowstone Park and Priest Lake, taking trips to Hawaii, and roaming around in his motor home. Harvey liked to work, much like his father, Alfred. Harvey attended First United Methodist Church in Kennewick.

Harvey is survived by his very loving wife, Gloria; sons, Gary Eunice Weible of Richland, Ron Ginger of Jacksonville, Fl and a daughter Pennie Doug Fish of Spokane; two step-daughters, Terry Rob Marshall of Richland and Katharine Toole of Kennewick. He is survived by 12 grandchildren; Pam, Erin, Jason, Chris, Brian, Carlin, Russ, Ernie, Jim, Joe, Cory and Kyle. He is also survived by his 17 great-grandchildren and sister-in-law Fran Weible of Richland.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ross and Roy Weible.

A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church in Kennewick on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 2:00pm with a reception to follow.

Einan's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
