Joseph Arthur Slone, 75, of Richland, Washington, passed Sunday, May 5, 2013. Joe was born September 15, 1937 to James and Gladys Slone of Sciotoville, Ohio. He is survived by his loving wife of over fifty years, Nadine Slone; two daughters, Starr Slone Bommarito, St. Louis, MO, Tina Slone Newcomb, Kennewick, WA; three sons, James Slone, Whidbey Island, WA, Jason Slone, Oak Creek, WI and Justin Slone, West Richland, WA, two sisters, two brothers and nine grandchildren to include Celeste, Sara, Steven, Dillon, Cecilia, Dakota, Hailey, Joey, and Kara, and six great grandchildren who will all miss their Papaw dearly.
He was preceded in death by five brothers.
Joe was a retired United States Air Force Technical Sergeant and was awarded the Silver Star and Purple Heart for his service in Vietnam. In 1985 Joe and Nadine made Richland, Washington their new home. He retired from Westinghouse in 1997.
