Carl Gibson

Carl H. Gibson, Jr., 85, of Richland, passed away peacefully at home on August 27, 2013. Carl was born July 1, 1928 in Pampa, Texas. He lived in Richland for 64 years. He was a Maintenance Technician for Areva and served in the Navy on submarines. He is survived by his wife, Doris Nordman Gibson, daughters Teri Gibson, Connie and son-in-law Benjamin Amodeo, grandchildren, Regina and Andrew Amodeo along with the Nordman clan: Franny and Huck Trudell, Joyce Hart, Patricia and Pete Geffe and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Carl Sr. and Mickey Gibson, Marge Nordman DeGoyer and Bill Nordman.

He loved sharing stories and jokes with family and friends especially Al Williamson, By Meyers and Marion Hill.

  • Doris, Connie and Teri: I’m so sorry to hear of Gibby’s passing. I have many fond memories since my children grew up with Connie and Teri. We worked together at Seamans for many years and I used to tip a few beers with him when he bartended at the Uptown. We had a great visit with Teri at Mac’s gathering and got an update on his health. Our wishes and prayers are with you and your family.
