Rosalie B Jobe
Rosalie Jobe died August 13, 2013 at her home in Richland. She was born in Morris, Oklahoma on February 10, 1923 to John and Syrene Baze. After her mother's death, the family moved to California, eventually settling in Madera. She married Earl Jobe on September 21, 1940, and they celebrated their 52nd anniversary shortly before his death in 1992.
In 1955 the family moved to Richland where Dad was working at Hanford for General Electric Co. Mother turned the house and yard into a real home despite dust storms she learned had been called "termination winds." Her garden was her pride and joy and she was still working in it just days before she died. She also loved to crochet and made beautiful baby blankets.
She was a long time member of the Richland Church of Christ.
She leaves behind her son, Terry Jobe, and daughter and son-in-law Aleda and Roy Brogdon, all in Richland. We grieve at not having her with us, but are comforted knowing that she is at peace. At her request, there will be a private graveside service.
So sorry to hear that your mom has passed. I will miss talking to her. I still remember, as a child, going with my mom to your house to get the key to the church building- and then often getting flowers from your mom to put up front— good memories. She was a special lady.
Terry, so sorry to hear of Mrs. Jobe’s passing. For as long as I have known this neighborhood, she has been a fixture in the house on the corner. There she would be in the yard watching her little dogs. You made it possible for her to stay at home. Job well done.
