Earleen Mary Miller 1929 – 2013
Earleen Mary Miller passed away at her home on September 9th 2013. She left this world to be with our Lord and Savior at the tender age of 84.
Earleen was born in Chicago IL on August 16th 1929 to Earl and Mary Ewing, she was the oldest of three children. She graduated from Lindbloom High in Chicago in 1947. Just one year later Earleen met the love of her life at a barn dance. She married Sherman Carl Miller on July 2nd 1949 and remained so for 64 happy years.
She worked as a secretary for Ford Motor Company for 10 years before becoming a dedicated homemaker and mother to her three children. Earleen's first priority was always her family. She worked hard to provide a stable, loving home. She was an excellent cook and loved to bake, her zucchini bread will be missed almost as much as her. The family moved to WA State in 1976.
Earleen was as sharp as a tack, she did crossword puzzles every day and continued to provide delicious meals and treats to her beloved friends and family. She was faithful and active in her church.
Survived by her siblings; Wayne Ewing and Lola Hornof, husband; Sherman Miller, children; Ted Miller, Sherleen Devos, and Elizabeth Miller, grandchildren; Jason and Karis Miller, Edward and Gracie Devos, Amber Canady and Christopher Nelson, two great grandchildren and one on the way.
A celebration of Earleen's life will be held on Friday September 20th at Central United Protestant Church, 1124 Stevens Dr. in Richland at 11:30am. All friends, family and anyone else whose life was touched by this amazing, generous woman are welcome to attend.
