John Edward Lambert
John Lambert passed away Oct 4, 2013 at the Hospice House where he received wonderful care. He lived in Richland since the age of two and graduated from Columbia High in 1961. He worked as a pipefitter for local 598. Married Patricia Maness in 1966 and had three children.
He loved the outdoors. The highlights were: his trip to Alaska with his friend Bill Bern and fishing for steelhead with his many friends. A special thanks to Rusty Lais for taking him to his cabin in the Blue Mountains the last few years.
John was preceded in death by his parents and son, John Jr. He is survived by his daughters, Rebecca Myers and Kelly Lambert; grandchildren, Lindsey and Mitchel and two sisters, Patsy and Marcia.

Johnny always held a special and very sweet spot in my heart. From Kindergarten through the first half of First Grade, he was my best friend. We walked to school together every day innocently holding hands. He was the first person outside my family that I cared about and I knew he really liked me, too. Our First Grade photo says it all…we are in the front row center, Johnny looking very stoic and me leaning into him with a look that says “he’s my guy”. Then I moved to the Southside of Richland and we both went on with our lives, but I never forgot him and the memory of that time we shared as children… so sweet.
Patty, I am truly sorry to see Johns passing, you were together a very long time. I want you to be sure and take care of yourself. Love Rose Boswell
