Steven Kirk Brackensick
Steven Kirk Brackensick, age 46 died suddenly at Kadlec Regional Medical Center on Sunday November 03, 2013. Steve was born to Sharon and Ronald Brackensick Sr. on June 15, 1967 in Richland, Washington where he grew up and graduated from Richland High School in 1985. Steve married Dawn Boggs in 1992 and resided in Richland until moving to West Richland in 1995 where he was still residing. Steve was a very loving and caring husband and father to Kaylea, Kenny and Kassandra. Steve had become a very doting grandfather and was excited about another one on the way. Steve loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman which was something that he grew up doing with his father and brothers and brought that love to his son. He loved reminiscing about the family camping trips and was looking forward to making new memories with his grandchildren. Steve worked for Albertsons in Richland for 23 years where he built many lasting friendships. Steve leaves behind his wife of 21 years, Dawn; and three children, Kaylea, Kenny and Kassandra and grandson Dayton; parents Ronald & Sharon Brackensick Sr.; brothers Ronald Debbie Jr. and David; mother and father-in-law Sharon & Norris Johnson; brother-in-law Jimmy Patty Boggs and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Steve was very loved and will be deeply missed. Steve is preceded in death by his grandfather Harold Brackensick, grandparents Donald & Noreen Workman and uncle Donny Workman.

Steve was always a joy to be around while growing up. I enjoyed playing football with him at Grandma’s house during the holidays. He had the best throwing arm for a left hander. He always wore a smile on his face whenever I saw him.
He will be greatly missed!

I would like to send out my deepest condolences to your loss. Steve was a fine friend and great person. I grew up literately next to him for many years, but really only got to know him during our High School years. Steve, Larry R and I would go down to Albtersons every day for lunch. We would pick up a donut and Shasta pop. We talked about girls, homework, what we were going to do or what we had done over the weekend. He eventually picked up a part time job at that store and worked his career there.
Steve helped me out in many ways in adjusting to High School life. Everyone knew me as Steve’s friend. I’m sorry that our paths diverged and we didn’t stay fast friends over the past 25 years. My thoughts and prayers are for the family.
