Phyllis Darlene Vining, 83, Kennewick, Washington, passed away December 22, 2013 in Kennewick, due to pneumonia.

Darlene was born June 19, 1930 in Missoula, Montana to Margaret Mae and Charles A. Wills deceased.

Sister Helen Urquhart survives, while other siblings preceded her in death including Archie Wills, Dorothy Baker Matthews, and Robert Bob Wills.

Darlene married James A. Kip Boyer, May 9, 1946. Two children survive her James A. Jim Boyer, Jr. and Terry L. Wiedmer. Grandson Clinton James Boyer preceded her in death. Grandchildren Kyle Shawn Boyer, Craig A. Boyer, and Christy M. Boyer survive her.

Darlene married James O. Jim Vining in October 1971 and relocated to Kennewick, Washington.

Darlene was employed as a grocery clerk at Super Save Grocery in Missoula, Montana for many years. She was proud to have been named "Montana's Checker of the Year."

Darlene was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Loving friends, Candy and Bob Odermott, took special care of Darlene for many years.

There will be no services or visitation, but the family is asking you to carry her memory in your hearts.
