Mary Lou Blocker
Mary Lou Blocker was called to be with the Lord on December 20, 2013. She was born in Augusta, GA to Ozell Blocker on June 19, 1939. The family resided in Edgefield, SC. She was baptized at China Grove Baptist Church at an early age. She graduated from W. E. Parker High School. She had two daughters before starting her career working at Owens Corning Fiberglass plant located in Aiken, SC. Mother Blocker moved to Kennewick, WA in 2008 to live with her daughter and son-in-law. Soon after relocating, she joined New Hope Missionary Baptist Church of Pasco where she served on the Mother's Board.
Mother Blocker cherished the special relationship she shared with everyone she knew. The times spent with family and friends were filled with joy and laughter.
Mother Blocker leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Keely Robert Hurley and Edwina Wright, grandchildren, Shemika, Keenen, and Travis, great-grandchildren Artia, Akeylah, and Chloe, brother Eddie Ella Blocker, special friends Vivian Terrell and Bobbie Galloway and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and church family.
Mother Blocker is preceded in death by her mother Ozell Simpkins, step-father Willie J. Simpkins, brother Willie J. Simpkins Jr., and grandson Darius Bush.
Viewing will be held December 27, 2013 at Einan's Funeral Home Richland from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., at New Hope Baptist Church 6305 Waldemar Ave, Pasco, WA. Graveside will follow the service at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Richland.

It’s Rev 21:4- ” And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” May this scripture bring comfort to you all, for this is a loving promise from our heavenly Father, a promise that soon all suffering will end, especially death.
