Early in the morning on Christmas day Ramona Rose Grumme left this world and journeyed to heaven to be with her savior, Jesus Christ. Waiting there to greet her were her mother and father. Ramona was born in Clay Center, Kansas on October 11, 1929 to Frances and Alfred Grumme. Many of her early years were spent helping her parents on the family farm. Following her father's death, Ramona and her mother moved to Richland in the mid-70's to be near her brother Larry. They lived together at the Luther Senior Center for a number of years. Following her mother's death in 1986, Ramona remained at the Luther Senior Center where she had a number of friends who assisted in her care. In 2001 she moved to the Talley Adult Family Home in Kennewick where she spent the remainder of her life. She was very happy being with the other residents of the home and loved her caregivers. Ramona's family would like to thank everyone who touched her life: Initially, the caseworkers at Tri-Cities Residential Services whose assistance enabled Ramona to live independently at the Luther Center for a number of years following her mother's death; the staff and volunteers at Adult Day Services in Kennewick; her caseworkers at the Department of Social and Health Services; and during her last illness, the doctors and nurses at Trios Hospital in Kennewick. And finally, many, many thanks go to the staff at the Talley Adult Family Home for the exceptional care and love they gave Ramona for the past 13 years.

Ramona was preceded in death by her parents Frances and Alfred Grumme and her brother Franz Grumme. She is survived by her brother Larry Grumme and his wife Jody of Allyn, WA, nieces Andrea Landes, Karin Holmberg, Denise Walter and nephew David Grumme and fourteen great nieces and nephews.
