  • Such a loss…John was a great friend and co-worker. I admired him as his dedication for work and family was like no other. He was a good man and we were all blessed to have been in his company, he will truly be missed.

Prayers to the family for the strength to get through this heartbreaking time and know that John has heard the words “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”

  • Saying goodbye to a friend is hard. Saying goodbye to a family member is harder. Saying goodbye to one who was both is harder yet. Memories: Growing up together, playing on the farm, hiding under the huge pine trees in Grandma Miller’s front yard, sorting through the laundry tubs full of rocks, going across that rickety bridge over the creek, helping with chores, playing at Grandma Miller’s house, walking to Dairy Queen by Safeway for Dilly Bars, meeting at the old outdoor City Pool in the summer, cheering for you playing ball, your laughter, your humor and your incredible, unfailing, ever devoted love for family. My playmate as a child and my friend as an adult. I will always love you and remember you fondly. My love to Ellie, Johnny and Michael and your precious grandbabies and to Uncle Jack and Aunt Darlene. God speed your journey home to Him.

  • John was my first manager out on the Hanford site. I came to work for him in 2003. I can honestly say I have never met a more positive person. In the 10 years I’ve known him, I cannot recall one time seeing him without a smile on his face. He has had a remarkable effect on my life. I can only hope he knows how much respect everyone had for him. I just wish I had one last chance to thank him for everything he taught me. He made me want to be a better person. I will miss you John, my deepest condolences to your family. I know he is in a better place.

  • The several times that I have worked for you and with you were truly the highlights of my 37 years working at Hanford. You always kept a smile on your face, and a positive attitude even in the middle of a crisis. Your patience with people, especially my very marginal computer skills was your best trait. My prayers go out for your family and loved ones. You are one of the good ones!!! Now rest in peace my brother, rest in peace. The Lord will take care of your family. You will be missed!!

  • I didn’t know John very well but I remember him as a kind and friendly person. Back in the 90’s John and I had a training class together and I mentioned to him I had never worked in the 200 Areas Hanford. He volunteered, and took me on a guided ‘private’ road tour of some neat areas I had never seen before. I will always remember his thoughtfulness. Rest in peace John, you will be missed.

  • Dear Miller Family,

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Death is something that pains us all, we never want to see our love ones go. I will like to send my condolence to the family and friends, as well as, to share a comforting scripture. It’s Rev 21:4- ” And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” May this scripture bring comfort to you all, for this is a loving promise from our heavenly Father, a promise that soon all suffering will end, especially death.
