Wade Perry

Wade Perry, age 66, of Kennewick WA, passed away in his home January 29, 2014 surrounded by loved ones.
Wade was born and raised in Chowchilla, CA. His childhood days were filled with farm animals and his grandfather's horses. He was the third of four brothers so there was always a friend with which to play. His grandparents lived down the road, and his aunt, uncle and cousins were a cotton field away. He milked the family cow named Gloria and his mom made butter. The country life taught him to love nature and his thrifty parents gave him the conservative values that he carried throughout his life. In 1969 he married his tennis playing, high school sweetheart, Jeanette. It was a love match for fifty years.
Wade was a Vietnam veteran and was so proud to be an American. He graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, CA with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Wade spent his 39 year career with Bechtel working as a manager in supplier quality and procurement. His work allowed him to travel the country he loved. He visited every state in the union, and moved to job assignments in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Santa Maria, CA, Ann Arbor, MI, Gaithersburg, MD, Decatur, AL, Plymouth, MA, and Houston, TX. His last job brought him to Tri-Cities, WA, a town he loved and where he decided to retire. His favorite assignment was the three years the family spent in Yokohama, Japan in the early 80's.
Wade was an accomplished handyman and enjoyed working around the house and in the yard. He designed and made all of the stained glass pieces in his home. He enjoyed the short time that he had traveling in his RV. His favorite pastime was playing cards with his bridge and poker groups, and spending time with family, friends, and his three beloved schnauzers.
Wade was preceded in death by his father Albert Perry. He is survived by his wife Jeanette, son Warren from New Orleans, LA, daughter Anjanette and her husband Steve Archuleta from Paso Robles CA, his mom Jean Perry and brother Kent from Chowchilla CA, brother Doug and wife Rayna from Fresno CA, and brother Roger and wife Dianne from Falmouth, Maine. A celebration of Wade's life will take place at the First Presbyterian Church in Kennewick, WA, where Wade was a member, on Wednesday February 5, 2014 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
