Marilyn N. Holt, 82, passed away March 4, 2014 at her home in Richland. Marilyn was born in Minot, North Dakota to Chester and Ella Holub.

Marilyn attended college in North Dakota where she met her husband, John Holt. Shortly after they were married they moved to Richland where they started a family.

Marilyn worked at Kadlec for several years as a secretary to the Director of Nursing. She retired in 1989 from Westinghouse, Hanford. She enjoyed occasional lunches with her Kadlec friends, spending time with her family, bowling, game shows, old westerns and animals. Her buddy Corky was at her side in the end.

Marilyn is survived by her children; Vickie Barney Helvey, Penny Ron Walter, Mark Martina Holt, Jon Holt, Cindy Gossett, Bobbie Rick Anderson, 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband John, daughter-in-law Tammy, parents Chester and Ella Holub and brother Lyle.

You leave us to rejoin dad. We miss you and love you.

There will be no service at Marilyn's request.

  • I worked with Marilyn at Kadlec and remember John as being a warm hearted man. Marilyn was always cheerful, helpful and a good representative of the nursing office.
