Lola Lee Taylor June 17, 1920 – April 4, 2014

Lola "Lee" Taylor, 93, of Richland WA, went to spend eternity with Jesus on April 4th, 2014 at Guardian Angel Homes. She was born on June 17, 1920 in Springfield, Missouri and moved to Seattle, Washington when she was in her early 20's. It was in Seattle that she married the love of her life Mike Taylor in 1946; they were married for 61 years. Together they had two beautiful daughters Karen Lee and Susan Kay. They moved to the Tri-City area in 1949 and were there ever since.

In Seattle she riveted ships for World War II and in Richland she worked as a duplicating lead at Hanford. Lee was very active serving the Lord at Richland Heights Baptist Church for many years, was a proud member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and was part a bowling league well in to her 90's! She loved spending time with her friends and family and played countless hours of Scrabble, two handed pinochle, and the card game "31" with them. Lee loved to travel in her retirement years; she went to New Zealand, Ireland, Hawaii, New York, her home state of Missouri, and many other destinations.

Lee was preceded in death by her daughter Susan and husband Mike. She is survived by her daughter Karen Skelly, son in-law Varyl Bingeman, grandsons Mike Bingeman Sarah, Tom Bingeman Holly, Curt Bingeman, great granddaughter Katie Bingeman, great grandson Zavion Bingeman, and many other friends and family.

A celebration of life service will be held in her honor on Saturday, April 12, 2014, 10:00am at Einan's Funeral Home. Donations can be made to Richland Heights Baptist Church in her name.

The family would like to thank Karen Tomassi for the loving care that she gave Lola Lee during the last few years of her life. THANK YOU!

  • Our prayers are with your family. A highlight of our life was to “find” Aunt Lee and Uncle Mike. We enjoyed spending time with them when we lived in Richland and whenever we could make it to town. Love, Jim and Mary Anne.

  • I was so sorry to read of the loss of Lee in the newspaper. I delivered Meals on Wheels to her for a couple of years on Fridays and I always enjoyed visiting with her and her crazy puppy. She was a sweetheart and I know she will be missed by all who knew her.

  • Thinking of all of you. She was so special to us. So thankful she made that last trip to Missouri. Whenever I see a cardinal I will think of Aunt Lola. Love to all of you.
