Nina Horn Diediker

Nina Horn Diediker passed away on May 19, 2014, surrounded by her family. She was born in Windham, MT to Bert and Bea Horn on January 8, 1923. Nina was the third oldest of ten children, one of nine sisters. After high school, she attended Kinman's Business school. She graduated and moved to Richland where she was employed by the Atomic Energy Commission. Here she met and fell in love with Don Diediker. They were married in 1949 and were happily married for 64 years. After raising two sons, she worked for Drs. Pettee and Fields for many years. She also worked as a volunteer for the CHREST museum. She and Don enjoyed their retired life together by traveling to many foreign countries and around the U.S. She enjoyed golfing and many activities, but her greatest joy was her sons and grandsons.

Nina was preceded in death by Don in 2013. She is survived by son Larry and Stephanie, grandson Max, son Lyle and Nona and their children Paul and Danika, Collin and Alisha, and Bryce. Nina is also survived by her sisters Fredalee, Gladys, Edith and Carol as well as many nieces and nephews. At her request, there will be a private family gathering. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
