Nicholas L. Hilgert of Richland, WA, passed away at Hospice House in Kennewick, WA on July19, 2014 at the age of 80. He was born on May 31, 1934 in Heber City, Utah and served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Living in the Tri-Cities for more than 56 years, he worked in retail sales for Campbell Soup Company before retiring. Nicholas is survived by his wife, Sharon, sons Mark Hilgert and Mike Hilgert Nancy, step-children, Martin, Lauri, Greg, Brad and their spouses, 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren with one more on the way in August, relatives in Washington and Utah, and longtime friend, Ken Coffland. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Faye, brother, Tom, one grandchild and one niece. A memorial service will be held at Events at Sunset at 915 By-Pass Highway, Richland, WA, on Friday, July 25, at 10:00 AM.
