Dr. Leiland (Doc) Earl Clark DPM, 87, of Kennewick, Washington, went to be with his Lord on January 2, 2015 at home (Charbonneau Retirement Community).

He was born June 15, 1927 in Terrell, Texas to George and Suzie (Wilkes) Clark.

Lee joined the U.S. Navy in June of 1945 and served at Pearl Harbor and San Francisco until his Honorable Discharge in July of 1946.  He received his High School diploma while in the Navy from University High School in Los Angeles in 1946.  After his service he attended Santa Monica City College to take pre-podiatry courses, where he met Corinne (Cory) Webster on a blind date. They married on June 16, 1950 in Santa Monica. That same year they moved to San Francisco where he completed his doctorate in Podiatric Medicine at the California College of Podiatry.

In 1953, they moved to Richland to open his podiatry practice, Columbia Foot Health Clinic. Leiland retired from his Podiatry practice in 1993. They raised their five children in the Tri-Cities.

Lee and Cory were active in ministry at the First Baptist Church and for over 45 years at Richland Alliance Church.  Lee served on the board for the Tri-Cities Christian Translator Association which broadcast KMBI to the Tri-Cities.  Lee was actively involved in Bible Study Fellowship for many years.  One of Lee’s passions was the cherry orchard which he and his family operated for many years as his “hobby”.  Retirement found Lee and Cory cross-country skiing, bicycling as far away as Europe and traveling thru much of the US in their motorhome.  Their home was always open to many friends and family.

Lee is survived by his children and their spouses: Sandy and Clyde Chamberlin of West Richland, Steve and Darrlyn Clark of Kennewick, Dave and Lori Clark of Stockton, CA, Phil and Patty Clark of Richland,  Laurel and Chris Lentz of Benton City; grandchildren: Bryan and Maria Chamberlin, Tony and Wendy Chamberlin, Rebekah Chamberlin, Jay and Darcy Clark, Nate and Kristie Clark, Joshua and Alanna Clark, Kevin and Kate Clark, Jesse Clark, Daniel and Amanda Clark, Kathryn, Hannah, Jonathan, Jennifer, Timothy and Abigail Lentz; great-grandchildren: Isaiah Chamberlin, Sage and Thea Chamberlin, Soraya Clark,  Zachary Clark; nephews and nieces: Susan Gordon-Clark, Bill Clark Jr., Mary Davis and George Clark.

Leiland is preceded in death by his loving wife, Corinne (2012); brother, Bill Clark Sr.; sister, Beatrice Glick; and his nephew, John G. Clark.

There will be a viewing from 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm on Friday, the 23^rd at Einan’s Funeral Home in Richland. We will celebrate Lee’s life at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 24th at First Baptist Church, 1107 Wright Ave., Richland with a reception following.  Lee will be buried at Sunset Memorial Gardens alongside his wife Cory.
