William Aubrey Clark was born January 7, 1928 to Henry and Ardella Clark of Argyle, FL. He was one of 10 siblings and grew up in the pan-handle of Florida. In 1946 he enlisted in the United States Army and in 1948 he transferred into the newly formed US Air Forces. During his military service he was stationed in Germany, England, Turkey, and Guam as well as several state-side posts. He served his country until 1968 when he retired and moved to Mississippi.

In 1948 he married Marjorie Jewelle Phillips, his wife of 66 years. He had 2 children, daughter Laura Ethel Jeanette and son, William Anthony (wife, Kimberly). He has 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

After retiring from the US military Bill owned and successfully operated his own business in Clinton, MS called ABC Wood Products. In 1976 he was appointed as a Colonel on the Governor’s Staff of Mississippi state Governor, Cliff Finch.

After retiring for a second time he relocated to Deland FL where he lived for many years. In 2004 Bill and Marjorie moved to W. Richland in order to be closer to his children and grandchildren who all live in the State of Washington. Bill was active in community affairs and his church. He served as Bishop of the Clinton Ward of the LDS church in Clinton MS. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and wood working.

Bill passed quietly on December 31 after a brief struggle with cancer.

He is survived by his wife Marjorie and son Tony along with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the LDS Keene Chapel Saturday 10:30am.
