Jeanne was born to Edward Meng and Helen Cole Shelby on July 25, 1918, in East Saint Louis, Illinois.  She grew up and attended school primarily in the Lexington, Missouri, area.  After graduating from high school she attended the Research Hospital Nursing School in Kansas City, Missouri, and graduated as a registered nurse.  During this time she met and married her husband of 66 years, John William Corder.  In October 1944 they moved to Richland, WA, where they were long term residents.  Jeanne was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the West Richland Women's Golfing Club.  She enjoyed nursing, her children, grandkids, golfing, and craft/sewing projects.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and all three of her siblings.  She is survived by her three children: John Corder of Seattle, WA, Joe Corder (Judith) of Kennewick, WA, and Judy Fecht (Karl) of West Richland, WA, along with 9 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 16 great great grandchildren.

 The family would like to thank Guardian Angel Homes and Avalon for all of the wonderful care she received while residing at these facilities.

 A private family service and burial will be at Sunset Gardens in Richland, WA.
