Nirmala Dhiman
Nirmala Dhiman was born and raised at Adampur Doaba,
District Jalandhar, East Punjab, India. She was raised by her widowed mother,
Mrs. Chanan Kaur Saundh. The sudden and early death of her father left the
family in disarray that caused severe hardships. Nirmala managed to receive her
teaching credentials and taught in a school for five years before coming to
USA. With utmost struggle the family regrouped and resumed a dignified life
again.
Nirmala married, Om P. Dhiman, a resident of Richland, Washington in 1984 and then lived happily till her demise.
She is survived by her spouse, Om P. Dhiman and two stepchildren.
Nirmala had an unshakeable faith in God and led a pious life. Nirmala participated in religious functions in the Hindu Society of Easter Washington and became a most favorite member of the community.
Services will be held at Einan’s at Sunset, Richland, WA on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at 11:00am.
Nirmala was such a positive inspiration. She was a huge support to me, and now my mom and her are Angels free of pain blessing us from above. Love for her, it truly came from our hearts. Words cannot express to your family how greatful I am to have shared in this lovely woman’s life. Taking care of her was an honor and a pleasure-My deepest sympathy goes out to you Ohm.
Nirmala had the warmest, most welcoming spirit and an infectuous giggle. I know she will be missed greatly. Peace and healing to her family.
Nirmala was a joy to care for. My heart is very sad at her passing. My deepest sympathy to all the family. I know there is a beautiful Angel in the heavens looking over all of us.
