Patricia Kinkaid
Patricia L. Kinkaid was born in Birmingham, AL on January 14, 1941 to Benjamin and Margaret Little. When Pat was very young, her father made the ultimate sacrifice while serving his country in WWII. Pat was raised by her loving step-father, Hughes Brant. She went to be with the Lord on March 30, 2015.
During her early years, Pat lived in the beautiful southern cities of Charleston and Beaufort, SC. She later enrolled in Valdosta College where she obtained a degree as an X-ray technician. She worked for many years as an X-ray tech before returning to college in the 1980's to pursue a nursing career, graduating from Columbia Basin College in 1984. During her tenure at CBC, she was listed in the book Who's Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges for academic excellence. She loved being a nurse.
In 1961, Pat married Silas Telander with whom she had sons Scott, David, and Mark. David died in infancy. Pat, along with her young family, followed her Air Force husband between several states before making a permanent home in Tri-Cities upon his retirement from military service.
Pat is survived by a wonderful step-mother, Louise Brant of Beaufort (and many step-siblings), her loving husband of 17 years, Tom Kinkaid, brother David R. (Charlotte) Brant of New Orleans, sisters Kathy (Denny) Myers of Richland and Elizabeth (Jerry) Shook of Kennewick, son Mark (Emily) Telander of Colorado Springs, step-son Thomas Kinkaid of Lebo, KS, step-daughters Misty (Roger) Froelich of Overland Park, KS, and Krista (Tony) Riganti of Torrance, CA, grandsons Mason Telander of Colorado Springs, Erik Conzatti of Kennewick, and Sam Riganti of Torrance, CA, granddaughters Ashley (Keith) Moskowitz of Charlotte, Savannah Telander of Colorado Springs, Chelsea Wiens of Wasco, OR, Maddie Kinkaid of Lebo, KS, and Sarah, Bekah, and Rachel Riganti of Torrance, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents and sons David and Scott. Pat had an abundance of close friends and her kindness touched many lives. She was loved.
Pat's wish was for a simple graveside service, which will take place at 11AM, Monday, April 6th at Sunset Gardens in Richland. Einans Funeral Home is charge of arrangements.
I too, am a fellow cardmaker friend, having met Pat on Facebook thru Operation Write Home. I truly enjoyed her humor and her cards. Last Fall, I received a beautiful card from her that was so delightful to hold. I will cherish it forever. When we heard she was ill, many of us sent cards to offer our love and support. What I found so incredibly amazing and graceful about Pat was that she took that opportunity to thank us. SHE thanked us! I will never forget that! I wish the whole family an ease to the pain and my deepest condolences. To Pat, I have every intention of meeting you at that craft table in heaven. Rest in peace dear friend…
I was among a lot of cyberfriends of Pat. She was so helpful and inspiring to all of us. Our friendship grew over the years and I will miss her a lot. Until me meet again, Pat……..
My deepest sympathies to you all. I never met this wonderful lady but loved her cards and creativity and the time and effort she gave to Operation Write Home. Pat was definitely an inspiration. I had no idea she was a nurse……something we had in common! God bless you all as you mourn her passing and cherish all your good memories.
I knew Pat through her dedication to Operation Write Home. Her talent and creativity were such an inspiration to me. I am deeply sorry to hear of her passing. May you be blessed with wonderful memories of her. We will certainly miss her.

I am just one of many who enjoyed getting to know Pat and her beautiful work through Operation Write Home’s online community. Pat brought so much beauty and joy to others. She will be missed greatly and I only wish I had had the pleasure of meeting her in person. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.
I met Pat through Operation Write Home and she has been so generous to me and also such an inspiration with her beautiful card making talents. She will be sadly missed and I hope one day to craft with her in Heaven!!!
Pat fought the good fight. I enjoyed chatting with her on Facebook messenger. She said her husband was the most wonderful man and a real treasure. I am sure he will miss her greatly. I so enjoyed her cards. She was a talented card maker.
Pat was a great inspiration to me and so many other crafters through Operation Write Home. Her loving generosity has touched countless families and her cards will be cherished for years. May God wrap her family in his loving arms and comfort them in this time of loss.
I am among the many who knew Pat through her volunteer work for Operation Write Home. She was an inspiration to many and will be missed. My prayers and condolences to the entire family.
I too am a card maker for Operation Write Home who always enjoyed seeing Pat’s work. Such a loss. Keeping friends and family in my thoughts.
I knew Pat through her volunteer work for Operation Write Home and as a fellow card maker in our Facebook group, Seongsook’s Stampers. She was a wonderful and kind woman, with a great talent for being creative. Her cards contained bright, happy colors, and that is what I will remember her for the most. Stamp on, Pat!
You have my deepest sympathies. I never had the opportunity to meet Pat in real life, but we were friends through Operation Write Home. She made such beautiful cards and I have been the lucky recipient of a few. She always had a kind word and such a great sense of humor. I will miss her creations, comments and chatting online, greatly. I was blessed to know her. Pat, we’ll meet again one day and we’ll make the most humorous cards together in heaven. Rest in peace my dear friend.
To one of the most beautiful women in the world inside and out that I can say was my step-sister, although I loved her as a blood sister. Among everything else wonderful written about her she has been wonderful and given lots of love to my Mama. I will see her again to tell her thank you.

I pray that all of her close friends and family members will find peace in your hearts as you think back on all your treasured memories of your loved one. Heavenly Father loves ALL his children.
Rest in peace Pat. I did not personally meet Pat, but knew her through Operation Write Home, a non profit organization that makes cards for service men and women who are deployed all over the world, so they can write notes back home to family and friends. The world of card making is like a very large family, and Pat’s presence will be missed by many.

As a fellow OWH follower, I extend my sympathy to family and friends.
Pat will be missed so much! I met her and Tom when they stopped by to have a meal with me a few years ago…she impressed me with her loving heart! She sent in so many lovely packages of cards to Operation Write Home, and I was always happy to see one of her brown-paper packages tied up with tape arrive in the mail.
Pat, I’ll see you in heaven. Keep a seat warm for me at the crop table!
