LINDA KAY DODSON

(JULY 31, 1950-MAY 1, 2015)

                On the evening of May 1, 2015 Linda Kay Dodson peacefully passed away in her home at the age of 64.

Linda was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She was born July 31, 1950 in Prosser, Washington to Dalton S. Johnson (father) and Maxine M. Wright (mother). Linda attended Prosser High School and graduated in 1968. She was employed at Hanford Works as a union laborer; she also worked as a bartender in Prosser; worked at Chateau Ste. Michelle Vineyards in Patterson, Washington, and was a warehouse attendant at Darigold in Sunnyside, Washington.

Throughout Linda’s life she would always bring joy and happiness to anyone that she met. She could brighten your day just by her smile. Linda was very adventurous and also lived a simple life. She would take her family on spontaneous camping trips and fishing trips but also enjoyed quiet nights at home with her family. Linda’s greatest joys in life were dancing and gardening.

Linda is deeply loved and will be truly missed.

She is survived by her (daughter) Amanda K. Gaines-Hughson,  (son) Tyler R. Dodson, (granddaughter) Ashlyn E. Hughson, (mother) Maxie (Moo) Johnson,  (sister) Connie Engelhardt and (sister) Evelyn Buckles. 

The funeral services will be held Saturday, May 9, 2015 from 1-3pm at the VFW in
