Daisy Pauline Richey MacDonald “Polly”, a faithful and true child of God, born January 18, 1928, went to be with her Lord and Savior at the age of 87 on June 29, 2015.  

She lived in West Richland, WA with her husband of 63 years, Donald Brooks MacDonald.

She was born in Pineville Louisiana, daughter of Rosa and Chester Pilkington. She attended Tulane University in New Orleans, school of nursing where she became a registered nurse. She worked as caring and compassionate nurse for 40 years.

She was married to Donald Brooks MacDonald on November 9, 1952 in Pineville, Louisiana. They lived a life together filled with faith and love for all who came across their paths. They had five children, Robert Mathew, Donna Rose, Deborah Ruth, Paula Jean and Pamela Joy.

She is survived by daughters, Debbie Armstrong, Paula Jorgensen and Pamela Morris, grandchildren Brooke Prescott, Blythe Nichols, Sean Armstrong, Nickey Jorgensen, Alexa Morris, Madison Morris, Gabriela Morris, Sons-in-law Michael Armstrong, Rick Jorgensen, James Morris, second sons-in-law Justin Prescott, Patrick Nichols and great grand-daughter Clara Prescott.

Polly’s life was filled with love and service.  She truly never met a stranger, quickly considering all of her children’s friends and families as children of her own. She never let you leave without a great big hug and her favorite “love ya, bless ya” greeting that let you know not only were you loved but you were also blessed. Her favorite saying was “this is the day the Lord has made, and we will rejoice and be glad in it.” Her strong faith in the Lord was contagious and she lived a life reminding everyone that faith, family, friends and kindness to all of God’s children were the reasons we are on this earth.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday, July 3, 2015 at 4:00 pm, at Event’s at Sunset; 915 By Pass Hwy, Richland, WA 99352.
