Our dear bother and friend Allen Victor Jensen went to heaven on August 27^th, 2015.   Allen was born in Yakima Washington to Alfred Victor Jensen and Evelyn May Jensen on February 19, 1953.    Allen was a painter by trade at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation for 35+ years and loved being a painter.  He was an avid sportsman and sports fan. His love of NASCAR, football, basketball, fishing and hunting brought him a great deal of joy throughout his life. 

Allen was preceded in death by his mother Evelyn Jensen, father Alfred Jensen, oldest sister Laurie Weigel, his older brother Jim Buchanan, and his younger sister Diana Lee.

Allen had some very dear friends that he loved to fish, hunt, or just visit with. Many came to see and spend time with him in these last few weeks.  He will be missed by all who loved him.  He is no longer in pain and is at peace, which we are grateful for.   His loving survivors include sister Vivian Isbell and brother in law Scott Isbell, sister Connie Anderson and brother in law Mark Anderson, sister Denise Crow and brother in law Chris Crow, youngest sister Tina Jensen, sister in law Janice Buchanan, brother in law A.J. Weigel, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members and he loved them all.    

Allen had two cats given to him years ago by Denise, named Barney (male) and Charlie (female). They brought much joy and happiness to his heart.  He loved watching them run around the back yard in the evenings and just plain hanging out with them.  The kitty’s loved Allen so much and Barney would lay on his shoes at the end of his recliner where he sat and Charlie would try and lead him back to his bedroom during the day for naps. It was truly funny to watch him interact and talk with them. His biggest joy in recent years was fishing and most often with his friend and brother in law Chris Crow. Our family is grateful for that quality time they spent together.

Allen’s family would like to specially thank all the gals at CNS for their dedication and simply amazing care and love they gave to Allen in the last couple of years and especially during the last 6 months. We couldn’t have done it without them and they are truly Angels on Earth.  We would also like to thank the many doctors, nurses, and hospice who were there for Allen. We appreciate all you did for our dear brother.

No service will be held per Allen’s request, but several gatherings will take place for his closest friends, co-workers and family at a later date to be determined by his family.
