Debbey Faris-Zyph
Debbey Denise Faris-Zyph of Richland, Washington, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at the age of 60.
Born March 2, 1955, in Richland, she was a lifelong Tri-Cities resident and dedicated Hanford employee. Working as a Reactor Operator as well as a Shift Manager before retiring due to health issues. Debbey loved the outdoors and spent many holidays and weekends camping in the Pacific Northwest.
Debbey is survived by her son, Ryan Faris and his growing
family, her daughter, Rachael Faris, and her Granddaughter, Lilia. She is also survived by her beloved Border
Collie, Nataley. Debbey was a loyal and
caring mother/grandmother to all who crossed her path – human and animal alike.
She was incredibly proud and supportive of all of her children’s endeavors. She
was also a lover of animals and cared deeply for each of her dogs.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Memorial Ceremony will be held at on
10 a.m., Saturday, September 12, at Central United Protestant Church, 1124
Stevens Drive, Richland, Washington.

My condolences to all the family and friends who will miss Debbey. I worked with Debbey at N-Reactor and she was a hard working and dedicated Reactor Operator. We had some good times and long chats back in those days and I think we enjoyed flirting occasionally – ha!
Debbey will be missed.

Rachael and Ryan,
I express my deepest feelings of loss. Debbey was a caring, loving and providing mother to you. As your neighbor for so many years, Lorraine and I became like an extended relative to you, Debbey and Karl. We loved you and missed you when you grew up. Later when Debbey and Karl moved away we missed them. Debbey was one of the most appreciative people we ever knew. Small niceties meant a lot to her. When we did them, we just thought of them as being neighborly. One incident, when we saved one of her dogs that had been bruised by a car, especially impressed her. She loved her pets
Debbey was smart, dependable and likeable. She will be missed and long remembered. She left you two strong and independent. Good parenting.

Debbey was a very special lady and we have some very wonerful memories spent with her.
I was fortunate to know and work with Debbey at both N Reactor and 100K Area at Hanford. My favorite memories of Debbey are when her office was just down the hall from mine in MO402. We talked many times through each day — usually about Ryan and Rachael. She was such a proud mom! So glad to know she got to be a grandma. The other frequent topic were the furry members of or families. Not everyone appreciated those stories as much as Debbey. She remains in my memory as one of the most caring an gentle souls I have met. I know the best way to honor her life is to help each creature that crosses our path.
I am sorry to hear of Debbey’s passing. I worked with her for several years at N Reactor.
