From Richland, WA | Born in San Diego, CA
James I. Bucklin, III
James I. Bucklin III was born on December 21, 1947 in San Diego, CA to James and Maria Bucklin. He was the second of five children, Pattie, (Craig), Steve, (Lisa), Kathy, (Dana), and Mary.
They moved to the Tri-Cities area when he was young and he grew up in Pasco. He almost graduated from Pasco High School in 1966 but decided to join the Navy, staying in from 1965 to 1968. He toured Vietnam and the world.
He married Ann Bias and had two sons, Jim IV, (Kim), and Corey. They later divorced in 1973.
Jim met Nancy in 1973 and were married in 1976, together they had Angie, (Bill), Andre, and Jessie. James loved camping, fishing and going to Wendover and Las Vegas. He also loved watching baseball and football—well ALL sports ALL the time.
Jim worked in the Carpenter Union Local 1849, he was a building inspector for City of Kennewick and Wal Mart in Pasco.
He leaves behind his wife, one brother, three sisters, three sons, two daughters, nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and always, lots of good friends.
I’ll be seeing you Jim.
Love you Dad.
Hang in there Butch.
Love you Uncle Butch, always.
Bye Papa.
Bye Grandpa.
Services will be held at Events at Sunset on November 7, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. with Military Honors.
I am so sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. I wish I could have been in town for his services. I am keeping all of you in my prayers. So sorry Nancy, Jim, Corey, Angie, Andre, and Jesse. I am sure he is up above giving my dad a good laugh 🙂 Love you guys, hugs.
Your laughter will be greatly missed dear friend.
I met Jim in Mountain View Calif. He was booming with other carpenters from Kennewick to the local 1280 in Mountain View a little over 31 years ago. This man and his wife Nancy are amazingly good people! My condolences over this loss.
My love and thoughts are with my aunt and cousins and the rest of the family during this sad time. It’s hard to believe, I can hear Uncle Butch’s voice and laugh in my head like it was yesterday! Every family needs a character and Uncle Butch was ours. Many of us will remember not only be his sense of humor but that he often found ways to sneak in compliments and support with his joking. I have fond memories of him teasing me and me teasing him back and then usually we’d have a few moments of real talk or he’d give me a bit of advice. I was really touched that after grandma passed that Butch and family had 4th of July gatherings at their house– I could see the love and commitment to family staying strong. Jessie, Nancy, Andre, and everyone else–it was very apparent that Uncle Butch was proud of his brood! I’m thankful for some very happy 4th of july memories hanging out with you all. I wish I could be there for the service, please know that I’m there in spirit. Love, Jamey
Dear Family and Friends,

We’re going to miss Butch and his nicknames for all the kids and his hearty teasing. His was a life to rejoice and fun loving. We will miss him.
