Belinda Kaldor, 51, passed away on March 30, 2016 at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland. She was born at Lourdes Hospital in Pasco on September 30, 1964. Belinda lived in the Tri-City area most of her life.

Growing up Belinda attended elementary, middle, and high school in Benton City.  She spent a lot of her child hood spending time with her maternal grandparents and cousins in the Ringold Area and enjoyed also spending time with her paternal grandparents in Chewelah Washington.  At an early age Belinda started helping her mother prepare home cooked meals for their family and through this developed a love and passion for cooking.

Belinda graduated from Kiona-Benton High school in 1982 where she was a varsity cheerleader and actively involved in her school.  She enjoyed having fun hanging out with her friends and siblings.  Belinda had many wonderful stories to tell of her high school years and friendships made.

In June of 1988, Belinda married her husband Reed.  Together they shared 28 years of marriage, raised four terrific and beautiful children and created many wonderful family memories.  Her children, grandchildren, and family were always her greatest joy and priority.  She took great pride in taking care of her family and home.

Belinda loved to cook and was constantly trying new recipes.  Making sure that her husband and family always had a great meal made her happy and she never disappointed.  Her contributions to family pot lucks were always eagerly anticipated.  If ever one of her children, family members, or friends needed tips on how to prepare a dish Belinda was the one that was called.  She spent many hours giving advice and recipes to her two daughters.

Belinda adored her grandchildren most of all and cherished the moments she could spend with them.  One of those special relationships she had was with her youngest grandson.  One of her greatest joys was being able to look after him and volunteer as an aid in his classroom.  She always looked forward to traveling to Portland and Moses Lake to see her other grandchildren as much as she could.  One of her wishes was that they lived in the Tri-Cities so she could spend even more time with them.

Belinda is survived by her husband Reed Kaldor, her children Sarah Kaldor, Derrick Whitmire and his wife Jaime Whitmire, Juli Spink and her husband Brian Spink, and Jacob Kaldor and his wife Melanie Kaldor.  Grandchildren Kruise Whitmire, Olivia and Clayton Spink, and Josh and Mary Bridget Kaldor.  Siblings Denise Renz, Cherese Anderson, Tim Renz, Jeff Renz, Lonnie Renz, and Nathan Renz, as well as numerous brothers-in law and sisters-in law.  She was preceded in death by her father George Leon Renz, brother in law Scott Anderson and sister in law Lisa Renz.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Events at Sunset in Richland on Saturday April 16, 2016 at 2:00 pm with a reception following.   Those that attend are invited to share a fond memory of Belinda.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made and sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
