Kenneth Lloyd Haynes (77) peacefully passed away August 23, 2016 surrounded by his loved ones.  Born December 28, 1938 in Jolo, West Virginia, Ken was the youngest child of Joseph Cisco Haynes and Dorothy Edith Johnson. As a young child, his family relocated to Farmington, New Mexico.

Ken was an excellent story teller and often entertained others with delightful stories of his family, friends, and adventures growing up in Farmington.  He moved to Kennewick, Washington after marrying the love of his life, Arlene Allphin, whom he met and courted at BYU in Provo Utah.  They were married for time and all eternity on June 7, 1960, in the LDS temple in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their first child, Carol DeLynn, was born one day after their first anniversary. Four years later, Kevin Dee was added to the family. The family became complete when Steven Lamont was born several years after that.

Ken filled his life with hard work, family fun, and service to others. With his passing, Ken has been re-united with his parents and siblings: Joe, Mendal, and Marciel.  He is survived by his dear wife, Arlene, and his children: DeLynn (Clay), Kevin (Darcy), and Steven.  He is also survived by his brother Frank and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. 

His loved ones are grateful for the memories they have of their beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend.

An open house celebrating his life will be held Saturday, September 10, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 820 S. Buntin St., Kennewick, Washington, for all who wish to attend.
