Carolyn Ruth Voorhies

Carolyn Ruth Voorhies, 84, of Richland passed away on October 1, 2016 in Richland. She was born on April 24, 1932 in Whitehalls, MT. Carolyn grew up on the family ranch in Anaconda, MT with her brother and two sisters.

Carolyn married Sam Voorhies when she was 19. They had four children together Sam Voorhies, Jr., Robert Voorhies, Rick Voorhies and Barbara Voorhies. She was so proud of them for graduating and leading lives of their own.

Carolyn enjoyed embroidering, gardening and ceramics. She later became quite the bingo and card player at the Senior Center.

Carolyn is survived by her son, Robert and wife Cindy Voorhies; son, Rick and wife Linda Voorhies; grandchildren, Scott Bills, Shawn Bills, Darcy Bird, Cory Welch, Robert Thomas Voorhies, Kim Nelson and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Voorhies; son, Sam Voorhies, Jr. and her daughter, Barbara Welch.

A Graveside Service will be held at Sunset Gardens in Richland, Friday, October 7, 2016 at 11:00am.
