Nancy Akridge 

Nancy Akridge passed away on December 6, at Kadlec Reginal medical Center.

Born in Spokane, WA, on July 14, 1964, to LeRoy and Dolores Akridge, she quickly became the little princess of the Akridge Family, being the only daughter and the baby sister to Scott and Brad.

Nancy attended Kennewick Schools,. Graduating in 1982 from Kamiakin High School, and lived in the Tri-City’s until moving to the Portland area in 1983, this is where she started her small family. Nancy’s first and foremost love was to be there for her boys. She raised two boys to be wonderful young men. Matthew and Race were her pride and joy. She was active in their lives supporting them through all their sporting events and ‘normal’ life events. Nancy will always be their biggest fan.

Nancy was a successful CAD operator working for CH2M Hill, until she fell victim to a debilitating stroke in 2008, these circumstances forced her to move back to the Tri-City area.

Nany’s love for Christ lead her to serve others in church and community functions. Nancy has been a pillar of graciousness to the Tri-City community. She faithfully volunteered at the Grace Clinic, she volunteered at many event registration desks for the Tri-Cities Runner’s Club, Camp Patriot and many others. Any tine there was a need she was there to do all she could, always with a smile and sweet spirit. Nancy has been described by many, as being; spunky, gracious, a giver, stubborn, having a big heart and always putting others needs before her own. She was proudly a Dallas Cowboy fan!

Nancy is survived by her children Matthew Akridge of Puyallup, WA and Race Ostman of Richland, WA; brother, Scott (Linda) Akridge of Richland, WA and Brad (Woody) Akridge of Pasco, WA; great Aunt Marilyn of Peoria, IL, Uncle Ed (Jennifer) Akridge of Kennewick, WA and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Dolores Akridge.
