Clarence Edward Corriveau, Jr., aka Butch

Clarence Edward Corriveau, Jr., aka Butch, died February 6, 2017 from head injuries due to a fall. He was born May 4, 1946 in Hayden, CO to Clarence E. Corriveau, Sr. and Bobbie Martha Corriveau.

Clarence graduated from Moffat County High School; the University of Colorado, Boulder with a BS Degree in chemical engineering; and University of California, Berkeley with a Masters Degree in chemistry.

He was a Grand Knight for Knights of Columbus of Richland from 1999-2000 and was a 4th degree member. He was a Range Officer for the Tri-City Shooting Association at Rattlesnake Mountain; he was also active member of the Tri-City Remote Control Modelers, past president of the Miniature Airplane Association of Benton City, past officer of Fun Fit and Over 50 Club and was a member of Rod & Gun Club.

Clarence loved life and retirement! Tuesday night was Sci-Fi night with the guys, Thursday was lunch at Denny’s with his airplane buddies, once a month or so he would meet with his friend Russ Wyer and attended the Rod & Gun Club meetings to hear the latest on fishing, and he also loved his road trips with Rob Opgenorth. They would travel far and wide to hobby shops to look for new model airplane toys.

He and Eva also enjoyed participating in Fun. Fit and Over 50 club on a bike, a barge trip to Holland with a side trip to Sweden and Finland. They took a trip to Croatia for biking and boating, with a pre-trip to Germany, Austria, Slovenia and Costa Rica where they zipped lined, rafted and road horseback.

During New Year’s Eve he typically serenaded our neighbors blowing his trumpet from the kitchen deck. He was full of life! Clarence loved his family, good food, good friends and felt blessed to be alive. He was a very happy man.

Most of all he enjoyed his morning coffee with Eva, the 2 dogs, 3 cats, 3 parakeets and his 3 cockatiels.

He was survived by his wife, Eva Kuusinen-Corriveau; his three children; Joseph Corriveau (Andrea), Jacques Corriveau (Caroline), Jonathan Corriveau (Wendy) and Christina Kuusinen Nguyen (Benjamin) all of California.

Clarence is also survived by his siblings, Joan Webster of Amarillo, TX, Janice (Jake) Jacobs of Mission Viejo, CA and Jeff (Melissa) Corriveau of Greeley, CO and his sister-in-law, Rhonda Corriveau of Spokane. He is also survived by the joys of his life, his grandchildren, Gregory, Victor and Grant Corriveau.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Bobbie Corriveau; his brother, Joseph Corriveau and his wife, Anna E. Corriveau the mother of his three children.

Thank you to the Intensive Care Unit at Kadlec Regional Medical Center, especially Troy & Chris, who provided loving and attentive care to Clarence.

A Mass will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church, Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 11:30am. Following the Mass at 1:00pm the family would like to invite you to Events at Sunset for an Open House.

Come prepared to share your memories and adventures of Clarence!
