DAVE (DAVID) LEE ANDRESEN

Dave (David) Lee Andresen lost his battle with cancer and passed away on Thursday night, March 16, 2017, at Kadlec Regional Medical Center.

Dave was born in Tolland, Connecticut, on January 3, 1950, one of three children of Andy and Susannah Andresen.  Dave graduated from Rockville High School in Rockville, Connecticut in 1968 before joining the Air Force at McGuire Air Force Base, New Jersey, where he worked as an Airplane Engine Mechanic on the C-130 Hercules. 

Following his honorable discharge from the Armed Forces, Dave married Betty Ann Prichard on December 4, 1971 and both of them moved across the country to the Tri-Cities area in October 1978, following his Dad and Brother.  He lived in the area for the next 39 years, where he worked in both residential and commercial construction, along with home restoration work. They had one child, Erik David Andresen, on July 18, 1983, prior to getting divorced in October 1993.

During his free time, Dave loved working with his hands building all kinds of stuff ranging from his two houses to custom furniture.  He even made several children’s toys for his son.  He also enjoyed going fishing on the Yakima and Columbia Rivers both from the shore and his buddy’s boat.  He always cared more about others than himself, wanting to make sure his friends had somebody to hang out with during lunch and received a gift for their Birthdays and Christmas. The thing he was most proud about was his Son and how successfully he had become, he talked about it all the time with all of his friends.

Dave is survived by his only Son, Erik David Andresen, and Sister, Pamela Sue Andresen, along with his ex-Wife, Betty Ann Hammack.  Dave is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Andy Christian Andresen and Susannah Rose Sims, along with his Brother, Larry Christian Andresen.

Per Dave’s wishes, his remains have been cremated and will be buried alongside his Mother and Father, along with his Grandparents and Brother, at Springdale Cemetery in Clinton, Iowa.
