Teresa Jean Vojta

On June 18, our much beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend joined her parents and late step-daughter Kimberly to spread joy in heaven. 

Teresa was born on October 14, 1960 to Jack Wilson and Mary Marvelle Wilson in Ogden, Utah. After being raised in Neosho Missouri, she moved to the Tri Cities where she has resided for the last 37 years. Throughout those years, Teresa could often be found volunteering at one of her children’s local schools, coaching softball teams and working the Estee Lauder counter or the window display at the Bon Marche. She also loved animals and animals loved her – it wasn’t uncommon to walk into Teresa’s backyard and find a Jungle Book of species running up to her!

 If there is one thing Teresa was known for above all, however, it was her willingness to seek out the less fortunate and find ways to brighten their day through friendship, good deeds or giving away any possession she had. Whether she was offering a ride to the grocery store to grab milk, a guardian angel pin to wear or an invitation to Thanksgiving Dinner, if you met Teresa you were walking away with something special. The way She lived her life can be encapsulated by a quote in the last social media post she made: “Kindness is not an act. It is a lifestyle.” 

Carrying on her wonderful spirit of love and laughter are those she leaves behind: her husband, Terry Vojta, children Brandy, Jordan, Amy and Dusty, grandchildren Gracie, Tanner, Landon, Trevis and Asher, her sisters Debbie Olivera and Susan Vanderlinden, her much-loved pets, Mugzie the dog, Peaches the rabbit and countless friends and family. Teresa’s legacy is one of having a huge heart – one that will be deeply missed by all.

Memorial services will be held at Events at Sunset, in Richland, WA on Saturday, June 24^th at 10:30am.
