Donald Wicks

Donald Wicks, born September 2, 1943 in Spokane, Washington, passed away August 26th, 2018 in Kennewick, Washington surrounded by his family.

Donald lived in Spokane most of his life. He was special.  Born developmentally challenged, he required care by family and care-givers his entire life.

Unable to speak his mind or make his own decisions, he taught us all. He was truly innocent living in the moment with a tender heart, a great sense of humor and a contagious laugh. He taught us patience, and an understanding of those challenged with every day activities. He gave us insight to what is important in life and our lives are richer because he was with us.

Our sincere thanks to Dr. Suerro, Kadlec Hospital and Hospice House Staff.

We extend a big thank you to Tri-Cities Residential Services and their dedicated staff members who cared for Don. We appreciate all you do for him.

We’d also like to thank past caregivers Tammy Hollingsworth, Caprice DeHart and Michelle Lomeli. You guided Don with tender care and exposed him to many community activities.

Donald was preceded in death by his father, Emil and mother, Gertrude. He is survived by his brother Mel, (Lynn), nieces Lori Considine (Myles), Jennifer Marrone (Doug) and nephews John (Kate) and Joe Wicks. Great nieces Haylee, Ellie & Lucille and great nephew, Dylan.

Funeral Mass will be at Christ the King Church in Richland, Saturday, September 1st, 2018 at 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Tri-Cities Residential Service, a non-profit, In Memory of Donald Wicks; 714 S. Dayton, Kennewick, WA 99336
