Ruby L. Bishop, age 97, of Richland, WA passed away on Tuesday, August 21^st, 2018. She was born on June 3^rd, 1921 in Lewistown, Illinois to Sadie and Avery Beadles. She married Curtis Bishop in Keokuk, Indiana on March 18, 1940. She and Curtis raised their family in Richland, WA. They remained married until his passing in February 1988.

 Ruby truly loved her family. Despite her advanced age and the many difficult losses she experienced over her lifetime, she remained the rock of our family.  She was strong, faithful, warm, kind, giving, funny and always very loving. She was known to always have the best advice. She was never without a smile, a kind word or a loving embrace.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends alike.

 Ruby is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Allan) Maynard; sons, Randy (Nyda) and Larry (Evelyn) Bishop. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer (Randy) Thompson, Amy (Terry) Kirkpatrick, Curtis and Ruby Bishop, Maria (Fernando) Garcia, Eric (Alexandra) and Yuri (Kristadayanne) Bishop, Brad Bishop, Julia (Barbara) Bishop, Mary Bishop (Kerry), Anne-Marie (Josh) O’Laughlin, Bobbi Bishop (Scott), Jeff (Carey) Bishop and Patrick Bishop.

 Ruby’s great-grandchildren include: Tyler (Alexa) Guidry, Samuel, Isaac, Sadie and Hadley Smith, Randall and Mathew Garcia, Elizabeth Sekerak, Joe McClennan, Larry, Breanna, Kaydin and Landyn Billingsley, Keely Livesay, Blayk, Terry and Myla O’Laughlin, Lucas Patrick and Amanda Bishop. Ruby also has two great-great grandchildren; Nova McClennan and Gage Billingsley.  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and good friends. 

 Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, a sister; Opal Heaton; a brother; Paul Beadles, husband; Curtis Bishop, her sons Virgil and David Bishop, former son-in-law Gerald D. Irwin and her great granddaughter, Paige Elizabeth Smith.

 Ruby’s family would like to thank the staff of caregivers at Brookdale Meadow Springs for the loving care they showed her during her stay with them.

 Ruby’s funeral service will be held at Einan’s at Sunset, 915 Bypass Highway, Richland, WA on Thursday, August 30^th.  There will be a family gathering from 1:00 – 2:00 pm with her service to begin at 2:00 pm. A reception will follow until 5:00 pm at the Einan’s “Events at Sunset” facility.
